Key Partners

At Rutnak Pearl Development Foundation – Uganda (RPDF-Uganda), partnerships are at the heart of our work. We believe that lasting change happens when communities, organisations, and institutions unite for a shared purpose. Our partners help us deliver practical, inclusive, and sustainable solutions for women, girls, and refugee communities across Uganda.

Through these collaborations, we implement impactful programs in Menstrual Health Management (MHM), Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environmental Protection, and Refugee Empowerment. Together, we are building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities.

Government and Institutional Partners

We closely work with national and local government bodies to align our projects with Uganda’s development priorities and humanitarian frameworks.

Our key partners include:

Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) – Uganda: Supporting school-based menstrual health and WASH programs.

  • Office of the Prime Minister (OPM): Collaborating on refugee response initiatives in Nakivale and Bidibidi settlements.
  • District Health and Education Offices: Providing technical guidance and local coordination for field activities.

Humanitarian and Development Partners

Our humanitarian partnerships allow us to reach displaced and vulnerable populations with essential services and livelihood opportunities.

We proudly collaborate with:

  • UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency: Working together to enhance menstrual health, education, and community resilience in refugee settlements.

  • Local and International NGOs: Sharing expertise and resources to expand our reach and improve program sustainability.

  • Faith-Based and Community Organisations: Mobilising grassroots networks to support awareness and inclusion efforts.

Community-Based Organisations and Women’s Groups

Community ownership is central to every Rutnak initiative. We partner with grassroots organisations and women’s groups that understand local needs and realities.

These include:

  • Women’s cooperatives produce reusable pads and train others in income-generating skills.

  • School health clubs and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) promote menstrual hygiene education.

  • Youth groups leading environmental and waste-management campaigns in refugee and host communities.

Corporate and Private Sector Partners

Private-sector engagement is key to innovation and sustainability. Our corporate partners provide materials, training, and expertise that strengthen community programs.

Examples include:

  • Local tailoring and textile enterprises supporting pad-making workshops.

  • Water technology providers are improving access to safe water.

  • Media houses amplify voices and success stories from the communities we serve.
