UGANDA WOMEN AND YOUTH STANDING UP AGAINST NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON PEOPLE AND NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS.

To contribute to fighting the negative impacts of climate change on human livelihoods and ecosystems through
- raising awareness of Ugandan women and youth on the negative impacts of current global warming
- national campaign of tree planting as a means to reduce the impacts of extreme weather events on human and natural habitats 

To enhance environmental awareness of Ugandan women and youth on climate change impacts and to protect natural landscapes by tree planting activities in rural areas

1. Environmental Awareness raised among women and youth in Uganda
2. The role of women and youth in environmental management strengthened
3. Selected landscapes planted with trees to reduce impacts of extreme weather events on ecosystems  

1. Building environmental management capacity of local women and youth in selected rural villages of Uganda
2. Sensitization of women and youth on their predominant role in the fight against impacts of climate change
3. Production of advocacy material on climate change adaptation and fight
4. Selection of rural landscapes for tree planting activities .
5. Planting of selected trees in predetermined rural areas

Project 2

EMPOWERING THE BOY CHILD 

The boy child in Uganda who have been left unattended and orphaned are often at a disadvantage in terms of access to education, healthcare, and other basic needs.

Empowering these boys is crucial in order to give them the tools and support they need to thrive and succeed in life.


- To provide emotional support and mentorship to young boys who have been left unattended or orphaned in Uganda, helping them build resilience and self-confidence.
- To facilitate access to educational opportunities and skills training for the boy child in order to improve their future prospects and break the cycle of poverty.
- To raise awareness and promote gender equality, challenging harmful stereotypes and societal norms that marginalize boys and limit their potential.
- To strengthen community and family support systems for vulnerable boys, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion.
- To empower boys to make informed decisions about their physical and mental health, including addressing issues such as trauma and substance abuse.
- To advocate for the protection of the rights of the boy child, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect in all aspects of their lives.

To address the root causes of why these boys have been left unattended or orphaned, such as poverty, conflict, or disease, in order to prevent the cycle from continuing.


1. Provision of basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter to orphaned and unattended boys in Uganda.
2. Access to quality education through scholarships and educational support programs.
3. Health and wellness services, including medical check-ups, counseling, and mental health support.
3. Mentorship and life skills training to empower boys to overcome adversity and succeed in life.
4. Advocacy for the rights and protection of the boy child in Uganda through policy and community engagement.
